Meet the people at the market

It's the vendors that make the Market a great place to shop and work. And we know there's nothing better than a daily pick-me-up of friendly conversation to start your day.

Trust us, it's almost as good as a cup of coffee.

The Artist's Sanctuary

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to help artists.  While our 145 year old church building is being renovated, we are helping the community by growing a community garden to donate to the Red Wing Food Shelf, thanks to grants provided by Wings, SMIF and Goodhue County SHIP.  This summer we'll have a booth at the Farmer's Market, selling plants, birdhouses, aprons, and other garden art related items to benefit The Artist Sanctuary and The Community Garden.  Love gardening?  Join us at the Community Garden as part of the Garden Club.  Follow us on facebook for all the latest volunteer information.

Nesbitt's Nursery

Our orchard was started in 1996 when our son Lee planted 100 trees including Haralson, Northern Lights, and Honey Crisp; all developed by U of M, and as it turned out, great choices on Lee's part. Over the years, the family added about 1,700 trees including Zestar, Gala, Chestnut Crab, Honey Gold, Cortland Empire, Macintosh and others totaling 16 varieties all of which can be seen on our web site with approximate dates of availability. Last year over 1400 trees produced fruit. We use integrated pest management trying our best to have the "cleanest" apples possible understanding that the only thing worse than a worm in an apple is a half a worm🍎🐛
